OUR 360-DEGREE APPROACH TO CSR
We focus our corporate culture on being environmentally and socially responsible.
We believe that getting to better products starts by caring about people. We may have the best technology, but we fully understand that humans are the most important part of our business, so we take great pride in treating our staff, clients and suppliers ethically.
Doing right by humans also means doing right by the world. We are constantly reducing our carbon footprint and reducing waste. We operate by the highest environmental standards in all our territories.
UN GLOBAL IMPACT
As a signatory of the UN Global Compact, we are constantly striving to be a responsible and sustainable business. We have adopted the ten principles of the UN Global Compact; Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti- Corruption into everything we do, from process to product.

HUMAN RIGHTS AND LABOUR
CHARGEURS PCC AUDIT PROGRAMME
We at the Chargeurs Group are committed to applying, promoting, and supporting the fundamental corporate social responsibility principles across all our business activities.
To make sure that we are practicing what we preach, we have committed to ensuring all tiers of our global Chargeurs PCC supply chain have annual, independent, semi or unannounced SMETA audits for assessment of the social and environmental standards at each site.
Following these assessments, we take each facility through a journey of continuous improvement to make them safer and a better place to work.
ON-SITE FACTORY VISITS
All our suppliers have committed to upholding our values by being signatories of the Chargeurs Sustainable Purchasing Charter. This sets out our expectations on business practices. Our global teams make frequent factory visits to ensure these values are being upheld.
MODERN SLAVERY STATEMENT
Our first Modern Slavery Statement will be published in 2021 in accordance with UK Modern Slavery Act 2015.
GLOBAL FACTORY COMMITTEE
We support the factories in our supply chain to become more sustainable. The CSR team holds regular meetings in which ideas and innovations are shared and best practice is implemented.
The Higg Index
All Chargeurs PCC facilities complete an annual Higg Facility Environmental Module. This module enables us to review our water and energy usage, chemical, wastewater and waste management systems to identify any risks or improvements we can make in our production.
8,500 TREES FUNDED
As part of the fashion Industry, Chargeurs PCC recognizes the impact of our industry on the planet. Therefore, we have partnered with WeForest, a reforestation initiative promoting healthy forest landscapes and the removal of excess of carbon dioxide. The WeForest initiative allows us to offset our global travel footprint and add to the global cooling.
Our support in Luanshya (Zambia) is also contributing to:
Restoring and protecting almost 4,500 football fields (over 2,400 hectares) with hundreds of smallholder farms regenerating almost 3 million trees!
Empowering women to run their own nurseries where they can sell fruit trees to other farmers for a steady income
Training bee-mentors that support farmers to develop alternative forest-friendly incomes.
Planting nutritious fruit trees – 8,284 trees to date.
